Person or client-centred therapy is based on the view that everyone has the capacity and desire for personal growth and change, given the right conditions. It can help you become more independent and can take a wider, more holistic approach than merely dealing with a mental health diagnosis that you may have.

Who it can benefit:

Person-centred therapy is beneficial for anyone who wants to gain more self-confidence, a stronger sense of identity, and the ability to build healthy interpersonal relationships and to better trust others.

How I will apply it to work with you

Rather than taking the role of the expert who will direct the therapy, as counsellor I will offer unconditional positive consideration, empathy and consistency in listening to your emotions and views. The aim is to help you come to terms with any negative feelings and to change and develop in your own way.
