Relationship therapy encourages the parties to recognise, understand and manage recurrent patterns of distress and troublesome differences that develop within the relationship. The relationship involved may be between members of a family, a couple, work colleagues or other groups who exist to achieve and share goals and values.

Who it can benefit:

Relationship therapy will benefit anyone who wants to better develop supportive and lasting connections with others. It can also help individuals to achieve insight and address situations and relationships.

How I will apply it to work with you

I will help you develop an awareness of relational issues. You may explore issues around styles of interaction that are used to push others away. For certain types of relationships such as those at work or in other group settings, you will examine the effects of differences in power or equality as well as the impact of social issues such as class, race, gender, and culture.
